GL Douglas- April 18th - 6pm and 8:30pm
The Good Girl of Comedy
GL Douglas has been bringing the gift of laughter for almost 20 years. She has graced stages all across the country and internationally. She starred in VH1’s Hit Reality Show “Money Hungry”, and has also made her mark on the stage of the World Famous Apollo Theater. Just recently, she recorded her own 30-minute special produced by Bob Sumner.
Her outstanding hosting abilities have brought her in front of audiences of 1000’s.
GL Douglas has also been teaching for over 20 years. In 2013, she decided to marry her two careers and passions and created the “SGO’s Comedy Show” which was geared toward bringing stress relief and joy to those in the world of education. For 3 straight years, she packed out theaters with hundreds of educators ready to laugh.
Unfortunately, in 2016, days after her show, tragedy struck and one of her main business partners/best friends passed away suddenly, which put the whole vision on pause. During that time, she became a wife and a mother, which then required her utmost attention.
After surviving a pandemic and realizing the state of education, she decided to return to the mission at hand and produced another show at The Stress Factory where she SOLD IT OUT with her “Class Dismissed Comedy Show.” Currently, she is in the process of building that brand.
Being a full-time mother, wife, teacher, and comedian, GL realizes that to whom much is given, much is required. Whether she is hosting, doing a set, or producing, GL Douglas is not just a “Comedian,” she is a visionary who is building her brand, brick by brick.
2 Drink minimum per guest (drinks run from $3-$10 and we serve many option with and without alcohol).
