Chris Cullinan and Shabby Shabby Cooking

Chris Cullinan Recently and still of D’Funkt and Boise Rockeoke And by the grace of the LEU and the Gem Center for the Arts Offers two distinctive hours of original music, the first suitable for mixed company, with hour two full of questionable language, imagery and ideas (cuss words!). Chris talks too much, and will likely ramble, mumble and otherwise verbally discharge all over the live feed, look forward to some storytelling. Chris will play originals featured on “Chris Cullinan’s Greatest Hits” (?) as well as D’funkt’s “Liftoff”, (the oh so timely “The More You Cough”); and others not recorded (“Sing it the Timway”) and rarely performed publicly (surprises! Lucky you!). “Must You Be” at 8:30, sing along if you know it, learn a new tune that’ll stick with you for life if you don’t. It will be at turns touching and heartfelt and grossly hilarious, hope to have you there.

Daniel Hansen aka RootFlute is a world renowned Sound Meditation facilitator, and Flute inventor. He has facilitated over 160 public sound meditations on many parts of the Globe. He works with indigenous Mayan elders and offers the medicine of cacao at his events. Hansen has also been crafting a potent Lucid Dream tincture he offers to increase the visual experience during the "lucid meditation".

To create the RootFlute Lucid Meditation
Hansen live loops his entire instrument collection which includes his self-made multi-chamber wild shed elk antler Flutes, 38 Paiste gong, 10 Tibetan singing bowls on an elaborate foot pedal system, didgeridoo, shakuhachi, esraj (Indian bowed instrument), elk antler clarinet, pan pipes, soprano saxophone, plate bells, swing chimes, tuned symbols, classical guitar, vocals, tuning forks, contra bass flute, and an array of percussion instruments to create vast sonic dreamscapes.

Why Cacao?

Cacao Food of the Gods is chocolate as nature created it.
Cacao has been used ceremonially for thousands of years by indigenous peoples of Central and South America. A sacred gift from Earth Cacao opens the heart and unifies the energy field of the group. While creating a mild euphoric effect, Cacao also sharpens the mind keeping you alert and aware during mindful practice and sound meditation. Daniel sources his cacao directly from Mayan spiritual guides and has received their blessing to share it with you! This is a 5000 year old strain of cacao!!

What is Lucid Meditation

Hansen has been developing the Lucid Meditation over 100 sound journeys. He has worked with renowned meditation instructors, Mayan Wisdom keepers, and Yoga Nidra facilitators. This meditation is designed to work with the breath and create relaxation in the body, peace in the soul, a deeper connection to sound, and positive visualization in the mind.

What are lucid dreaming herbs?

Mugwort will be offered in a tincture. This powerful herb has the ability to make dreams longer, clearer, more vivid and pronounced. When combined with the Lucid Meditation participants may have an increased visual experience. Enhanced dreams the night of the event is also a possibility.

Fist City: A Fiasco Playset

“Bowing to no temporal authority and disregarding such mortal concerns as effectiveness, authenticity, and taste, you will clash with one another in underground fight clubs, heavily padded tournament halls, and black-backgrounded forums on the Internet. There’s no backing out now! The gloves are off, or in some cases on, depending on your style. Ahead of you, the road to hell is paved with broken bottles, splintered timber, and the curb-stomped faces of your enemies. Right after that it’s paved with warrants for your arrest.

Welcome, spiritual pilgrim and sublime master… to Fist City!
