Veterans Art Show
The Gem Center for the Arts will be hosting a silent art action and exhibition to support of the Idaho Veterans Wellness Center (IVWC.)
The IVWC is a local nonprofit focused on providing a safe community space for our veteran community. IVWC encourages holistic healing through the discovery and creation of art, combined with positive activities that foster a healthy lifestyle.
The event will feature unique hand-crafted artwork in various medias created by Idaho veterans and their family members.
The public is encouraged to walk through the doors at the Gem Center for the Arts and be inspired by the life experiences, vision, and values that proudly represent art in our Idaho veteran’s community.
All artwork will be available for purchase with a portion of the proceeds going directly to the Idaho Veterans Wellness Center (IVWC.)
This is an all-ages, free, charity event. Although, donations are highly encouraged.
We will be relying on your generosity at the door in conjunction with the purchase of artwork for the sustainability and growth of the organization.
Please stop by the event to learn about the IVWC, show your support for our veterans’ community, and see first-hand the impact art can have in the healing process for those who have served our Nation.
Would you like to submit a few pieces for the show? It's not too late! Our artist call to veterans and family members across the State of Idaho is still open and we have a few more spaces to fill.
Email Art Director Bob Lyle at firstname.lastname@example.org to submit photos of your artwork to get in on the show. Beginners are welcome.
The show opens at 7pm on Monday, December 17th. Food & drinks will be available; donations for refreshments are encouraged.
We hope to see you there!
